Bargello Flames

I finally got around to taking some half decent photos of the blue green bargello quilt.

The quilt is approximately 82 x 92 inches, and is made from a pattern I wrote earlier.

It was beautifully quilted by Anne Rønningen at Quiltekammeret.

Here is a closer look at the quilting.

  1. Beautiful design and quilting!

  2. I adore your work, it is beautiful

  3. Beautiful. Would love to try this but I am new quilter and reaaly have never read a pattern.

  4. So so so stunning! The quilting really seals the visual motif.

  5. I realize this thread is nearly 5 years old, but do you remember the fabrics you made this from? Was it a collection, or did you choose each fabric separately? My daughter-in-law has asked for a bargello quilt and it will be my first. I spent hours yesterday at a local quilt shop trying to put fabrics together for it and came away with nothing. These colors look much like what she’s asking for. This may be a long shot, but if you could give any information on the fabrics you chose, I’d so appreciate it.

    • Hi Bunny
When making this quilt I pulled all the fabrics from my stash, which means all of them are more than 5 years old, and some much older than that. So yes, each fabric was chosen separately.
If you like the colours, you could perhaps bring a photo of this quilt along to the fabric shop and they could help you select the fabrics for your quilt? I am sure they must have something similar. Best of luck with your project 🙂
